Day One
After an early morning departure we arrived in Zagreb by way of Serbia.
A beautiful bus ride from the modern airport and come to the lower town of Zagreb and begin to explore the city.

Day Two
After a night in a semi-subterranean Airbnb we continued around the city, riding the world’s shortest funicular.
At the top of the funicular there is the unique, and slightly depressing, museum of broken relationships.

Day Three
Our third day we visited Maksimir Park, which houses a huge amount of diverse wildlife very close to the city centre.
We also met up with some local friends-of-friends for a very hearty sampling of traditional dishes.

Day Four
Our fourth day we explored the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum, which had an interesting array of exhibits (unfortunately only partially translated).
We also tried another classic Zagreb dish, Štrukli, which was excellent, if a bit decadent.

Day Five
Our last day in Zagreb, as our train left in the late afternoon.
We had an excellent tour around the mushroom museum (tucked away, but super interesting!).
After our fungus fascination, we explored around Zagreb some more and spent the last bit of time wandering the botanical gardens.
